My name is Danyelle Harp, and horses have always been a part of my
life. After taking lessons for a few years, I received my first horse from
my grandfather. Stormy, one of his horses, was his last gift to me
before he passed away; and it is one that I cherish every day. Growing
up with my own horse has shaped the person I am today, teaching me
patience, respect, and responsibility.
Along with riding, I love art. I love to paint and draw equines. At one
point a friend recommended that I make custom artwork of peoples
horses. This was my first experience in combining one of my passions
with business, and I have since taken that idea to a new level.
Over time, I began getting into the computer craze. I started off with a
small photo editing software, and worked for an equine photographer
editing pictures. I then expanded from simple editing and began making
ads, but just for fun. Then the thought crossed my mind…
I started On the Rail Graphics in 2008. Since then, I have done a few
small projects here and there. After graduating from Woodinville High
School in 2010, I went to Cascadia Community College the following
fall. I still don’t know exactly which direction I want to go, but I do know
that I love equines; and I love the creativity and freedom involved with
graphic design. I now work for a local photographer, am a full time
student at college and will show my new horse The Magic Look this year on the local Paint and Pinto circuit.
